Public Drainage Systems Hydrography, Brown County, Minnesota

This Feature Dataset contains those public drainage system (as defined by Minnesota Statute 103E) layers in Brown County, Minnesota that are considered hydrographic. Currently those layer are: The ditch/tile centerlines, drainage structures, and watersheds for ditch/tile systems (ditchsheds).

dsCurrentRef Drainage systems were mapped based on a variety of sources including engineering drawings, aerial photos and LiDAR. The information should be considered the best available information at the time of the data updates to represent a planning level as-builts in GIS. There are often gaps in historical information, so it is advised to always consult the legal drainage authorities if questions arise. This dataset should not be used for any legal decisions.
