Lower St. Croix National Scenic Riverway (LSCR) Boundary & Districts in Minnesota

This dataset delineates the Minnesota portion of the Lower St. Croix National Scenic Riverway (LSCR) boundary.<br/><br/>Within the boundary, the dataset details:<br/>• management zones (state-managed and federally-managed zones),<br/>• management classifications (scenic and recreational classes), and<br/>• districts (rural and urban districts). <br/><br/>The Lower St. Croix National Scenic Riverway was established by Congress through the Federal Lower Saint Croix River Act of 1972, which occurred a few years after the initial federal designation of the upper stretch of the Saint Croix and Namekogen Rivers upstream of the LSCR. It includes land in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and extends 52 miles from the Taylors Falls, Minnesota dam to the confluence with the Mississippi River. Land uses activities in this corridor are protected through surface water use standards in Minnesota Rules, Parts 6105.0300 to 6105.0350, and through the application of local zoning ordinances conforming with Minnesota Rules, Parts 6105.0351 to 6105.0550.<br/>
