DNR Division of Parks and Trails Area and District Boundaries

This metadata record describes two closely related datasets: DNR Division of Parks and Trails Area Boundaries and DNR Division of Parks and Trails District Boundaries. These boundaries, established by the Division Leadership Team, are congruent with the former Division of Trails and Waterways Area Boundaries and county lines.

dsPurpose This data set was created to display and query Parks and Trails resources managed by department staff. It is useful for spatial analysis as well as cartographic applications. Information on Area Supervisors were added to accommodate the MPARS application. It should be noted that the 5/27/2020 edit reflects the expansion of District 6 to overlap Area 3B, this is the only occurrence of an area not completely contained within a single district.
