Minnesota Water Trails

This dataset represents state water trails in the State of Minnesota as designated through legislation and recognized by the Department of Natural Resources. The alignments represent the approximate river centerlines as interpreted from 2009 aerial photographs. The alignments were created at a scale between 1:2000 and 1:10000.

dsCurrentRef Initial data was provided by the Hydro rivers centerline data and has since been edited with use of 2003 and 2008 aerial photography. In March 2010 the trails were edited with the use of 2009 FSA aerial imagery. These edits were made to all Minnesota Water Trails.
