dsOriginator | Resource Assessment Program, Division of Forestry, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Keystone Aerial Surveys Inc. |
dsPurpose | The Minnesota DNR Division of Forestry will use this imagery to update regional forest cover maps and to evaluate forest condition and trends for timber production, wildlife habitat, forest health, water quality, etc. The aerial imagery is also used by non-DNR citizens, scientists, forest land owners, and land managers. Acquiring the imagery at peak fall color increases the ability to locate and identify tree species and forest type with greater accuracy. |
