Gypsy Moth Treatments Web Map, Minnesota
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture tracks gypsy moth movement into our state and localized infestations are treated to protect our forests, local property values, and our state's vital tourism industry.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) organizes a trapping program each summer to look for moths across the state. Cooperation from landowners and land managers is essential for our success.

If gypsy moths are found, standard treatment protocols are followed to eradicate the pest or diminish its population. Approved treatments such as a biological insecticide (Btk) and mating disruptants that mimic the female gypsy moth's pheromone are used. This interactive map allows users to see where planned treatment areas are for the current season and what type of treatment they will be receiving.

For more information on Gypsy Moth in Minnesota, please refer to https://www.mda.state.mn.us/plants/pestmanagement/gmunit
